Dear Residents of The City of Corry and surrounding Townships,
We are asking that you please be extra cautious of what you are flushing down your toilets and sinks during this state of emergency. Likely due to the quarantine and increased amount of people staying in their homes, we have noticed an increase in the amount of non-flushable materials within our sewage system. Over time, this can cause a significant amount of damage to the system and can put our employees at risk due to the need to physically clean these items out of the system in confined spaces.
Please be mindful and do NOT flush the following items:
- Paper Towels
- Cosmetic and Baby Wipes
- Contact Lenses
- Medication
- Hair
- Feminine Products
- Towels
- Flushable Wipes (many products advertise they are flushable, however they do still wreac havoc on sewage systems and should not be flushed)
Please only flush waste and toilet paper down the toilet.
Thank you for your consideration during this time.
